New Apostolic Church Doctrine – critically explained

The New Apostolic Church (NAC) sees itself as a continuation of the Apostolic Church of the New Testament. However, its doctrine differs significantly from the biblical message in many respects. On this website, you will find a growing collection of articles that critically examine central themes of the NAC Catechism and compare them with the Bible.

Goal of this Article Series

With this series of articles, I want to show how the doctrine of the New Apostolic Church stands in contrast to the biblical statements. This is not about polemics, but about an objective analysis of the doctrinal statements in the NAC Catechism, compared with the biblical message of the Gospel.

My wish for the NAC: That the Catechism will be revised and that the doctrines of the NAC finally reflect what many NAC believers have long wished for: A collaboration on genuine equal footing with those who follow Jesus in other churches and communities – without an exclusivity that has long caused discomfort among many and has no biblical justification.

A greeting to my New Apostolic friends: I value you very much. Many of you feel comfortable in your congregation and repeatedly emphasize that things are “quite different” with them and that exclusivity is no longer an issue. I am very happy about that. I hope and pray that this development will eventually be reflected in the official doctrine of the NAC, which still contains the old errors that are also still preached in many NAC congregations. Thus, I wish that the spiritual prison of the NAC doctrine will eventually collapse (which will become visible anyway at the return of Jesus at the latest), without the believers of the NAC being destroyed by it.

There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12
